Exhibitions are free and open to the public. The administrative offices of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, Pittsburgh's arts services organization, are located above the ground-floor gallery at 707 Penn Avenue.

The series focuses on emerging writers either publishing in national journals and magazines or publishing their first or second books.
